Too Much Talking; Not Enough Singing
Love the band; sung a lot of songs I never heard, but that's okay as I don't listen to Home Free often. I just have a dozen or so songs that I really listen to. What they did sing was great. But they did way too much talking and telling stories. They spent quite a few minutes doing onstage advertising for the audience to go buy their CD's and T-Shirts for sale out front by the entrance to the concert hall. I never heard a band do this. Also, they told a few stories that were kinda interesting and funny, but I came to hear them sing.....not talk. The beat boxer with the band had a 10 to 15 minute solo of nothing but him and beat boxing. I understand they want to recognize him and that is ok, but a 3 minute solo would have been more appropriate. 15 minutes was just way too long. If they took out the beat boxing, stories, and asking you to buy their paraphernalia I figure they could have sung maybe 4 to 6 more songs. Plus they had a 15 minute break. Have given the Home Free concert 3 stars, not because of their singing, but because they wasted a bunch of time on other things besides singing.
